Lifts

There are two lifts available on the Semmering Hirschenkogel: an 8-seater cable car and a 4-seater chairlift. Both lifts operate during the winter months, both day and night. The cable car is the only one available for pedestrians, tobogganists and dogs. During the summer season, only the cable car operates.

Attention:

Happylift, located on the opposite side of the road, serves the “Panhanswiese” beginners’ piste and is not part of the Semmering-Hirschenkogel cable car system. A separate lift ticket is required for the Happylift, as its tickets are not valid for Semmering-Hirschenkogel.

Slope preparation

To ensure snow coverage on the Semmering Hirschenkogel, 94 snow guns are used to produce artificial snow. Two large storage ponds are available for snow production. With the help of six modern grooming machines, the cable car team creates perfect piste conditions every day
