Catch the first rays of sunshine
A qualified trainer accompanies the ascent from the valley station of the cable car to the Millennium Observatory at the summit of the Hirschenkogel, from where the breathtaking sunrise can be admired. Afterwards, a well-deserved breakfast awaits the participants on the large sun terrace of the Liechtensteinhaus panorama restaurant. Fresh pastries, seasonal fruit, cheese, cold cuts, yoghurt, muesli, orange juice, coffee and tea – all of which will turn you into a passionate early riser. After your culinary refreshment in the morning sun, you can take the cable car down to the valley in comfort.

Procedure
The exact start times are agreed individually for each hike and depend on the time of sunrise.
Sample itinerary:
5:00 am: Meeting point at the valley station of the cable car
5:10 am: Ascent to the mountain with a qualified trainer
6:15 am: Sunrise on the Millennium Observatory
6:30-8:00 am: Breakfast at the Liechtensteinhaus
from 9:00 am: departure with the cable car to the valley possible (or on foot back to the valley)
Dates
In summer 2024, a guided sunrise hike will take place on the following dates:
- Sunday, 14 July 2024
- Sunday, 4 August 2024
- Sunday, 8 September 2024
- Sunday, 13 October 2024
Group bookings on other days are possible on request.
Attention:
The sunrise hike may be postponed/cancelled at short notice in the event of bad weather. In this case, the costs will of course be refunded or an alternative date offered.
