At the Semmering Obstacle Run 2026, you’ll have the chance to conquer Semmering in a completely new way together with fellow sports enthusiasts and runners.
Have you never taken part in an obstacle race before, or are you usually more comfortable on flat routes? No problem. This race is open to everyone who is up for a real outdoor adventure and feels ready to take on the climb to the summit. Forget monotonous asphalt — you’ll face a varied course through forest sections, across exciting obstacles, and up the ski slope.
Whether you want to test your personal limits or compete as part of a team, what truly matters here is the determination to push beyond yourself.
Tickets
Secure your starting spot in time. It pays to be quick, as places are limited!
- Super Early Bird (April 29 – May 25): €39.00
- Early Bird (May 26 – June 29): €44.00
- Regular Ticket (June 30 – August 22): €49.00
Good to know: Since the finish line is located right at the summit, the gondola ride back down to the valley is, of course, already included in every ticket price.
Course &
Obstacles
The route takes you right through the diverse terrain of Hirschenkogel.
Start: Your race begins directly at the parking area of the Hirschenkogel valley station.
Challenge: On your way to the top, you’ll conquer nearly 370 meters of elevation gain over a 5 km course along the southern slope.
Obstacles: Along the route, 8 obstacles await you, demanding full commitment and agility. More detailed information about each obstacle will be announced soon.
Finish: The finish line is located right at the summit of Hirschenkogel.
Expo & Finish Area
Right next to the start area at the valley station, our Expo Area will be waiting for you. Perfect for anyone who still needs some last-minute essentials before the race: here you can stock up on sports drinks, energy bars, or gels for the climb. You’ll also have the chance to take part in various test & try activities and try out new equipment.
We’ll announce the participating exhibitors in the coming weeks.
In the Finish Area right at the summit, you’ll celebrate your achievement together with your fellow participants. Look forward to:

Event Day Information
To help you plan your race day perfectly, we’ve summarized the most important information for you here:
Start Time: The Semmering Obstacle Run begins at 09:00 AM with multiple starting waves. This ensures that there are no bottlenecks at the obstacles. You will receive the exact details of your personal start block by email no later than 14 days before the race.
Race Number Pickup: You can collect your race number on the day of the event from 07:30 AM until no later than 30 minutes before your respective start time directly in the start area. Please make sure to allow enough buffer time for pickup.
Travel & Parking: You can easily reach the event both by public transport and by using the parking facilities available on site. Detailed travel and parking information will be published here on the website soon.
